Environment Final
Environmental Concept
The infection has spread, and the city has gone into a panic. The police try to evacuate the most “important” figures in the city. The people need someone to make decisions, right? Families try to make it to the only bridge separating the city. Zombies start to pollute the streets feeding on the living. The dawn comes and it is time, the beginning of the end. Cars left behind on the streets because of traffic and a panic leads people to become greedy. Not only does one have to worry about zombies killing them, but also their fellow humans. Crows come and feed on the dead and try to make home in what is left behind. The stench is uncontrollable and the air is thick and humid. A fog starts to set in and the sky darkens as the world adjusts to its newest creation. Zombies.

Psychological Illustration
Zombies.Zombies.Zombies. 2
Zombies.Zombies.Zombies.
We have been taking our board game that we chose and making illustrations of certain mechanics. We took 3 instances where 2 mechanics were used together. For instance, the grenade card (mechanic) and player movement (mechanic) work together to help the player progress and kill more zombies. It's ok if it's hard to understand. Enjoy!
PROCESS

Went with a food source card. Lay it down to avoid being attacked by zombies.

Grenade card. Play it to kill all zombies while in the army surplus store.

Health Kit. Do not lose health when zombie hits you.

Decided to go with grenade idea. Changed the overall look. Quick sketch to lay it out.

Started the color process. Basic block of colors, darks, and lights.
FINAL SUBMISSION! Enjoy.

Sophomore Year!
Here is the start of my posts for sophomore year. I don't have much stuff I want to show from freshman year, for the fact that none of it I'm really proud of, it was quick sketches and practice. I might get a few longer pieces up here if I have time!
Game Design
We started the year off running. Every class we had something due! Doesn't seem too bad? We have class 2 times a week. A day apart! Besides that it's a blast. Here are some sketches and pieces for a couple of assignments.
We had to take a mechanic from our games that we selected and illustrate them through sketches. From one of these we will pick out final piece.
Part of my game is exploring the map by placing map cards. Players are able to choose where the place maps, making each game a different playing field. I illustrated this through the 3 following drawings.
Another mechanic is going into buildings and finding health. The catch is that the buildings, however, are filled with zombies.

The last mechanic is the helipad. Whoever gets to the helipad wins the game!

I ended up picking the helipad design and pushed it further - Here is my 2nd pass.
A final critique was in store so I finally redid the piece for my final in process.

Old Work
I thought I'd show off my old work first. These pieces were done without ANY art knowledge at the time. These pieces inspire me to work harder because they are memories of who I was in comparison to who I am and where I'm going.
It's about time!
I've finally decided to get this blog started to show off my work to the world. I will get the ball rolling with what i've worked on so far this year! plus some of my portfolio pieces I submitted to Ringling last year. Check it out!
